JBG SATARA HILL HALF MARATHON 2024 WAIVER FORM

Every participant must read and agree to the Waiver for entry acceptance:

I (for me/ myself/ my ward/ ourselves and all our legal representatives) declare, confirm, and agree that;
I have provided accurate and complete information in this application form, and I am solely responsible for its correctness.
I understand the risks involved in participating in the JBG Satara Hill Half Marathon 2024 or any of its associated/ related events, and I accept full responsibility for my participation.
I am aware of the potential dangers associated with running on roads with vehicular traffic, even if the course is monitored or controlled.
I acknowledge that I must be physically fit and have obtained clearance from a medical professional to participate in the event.
I waive all claims against sponsors, organisers, officials, and other parties associated with the event for any injuries or damages incurred during my participation.
I authorise event organisers to arrange transportation to a medical facility and, if needed, provide emergency medical treatment at my own expense.
I agree to provide race officials with any medical information they request but understand that they are not obligated to provide medical assistance.
I release sponsors, organisers, and other related parties from liability for any injuries, illnesses, or deaths that may occur as a result of any known or unknown medical conditions during the event, in transit to the medical centre or hospital or after the event, regardless of circumstances.
I release sponsors, organisers, and related parties from liability for any injuries, illnesses, or deaths that may occur during, in transit to the medical centre or hospital or after the event, regardless of circumstances resulting from unforeseen events such as natural disasters or civil disturbances.
I permit the Satara Runners Foundation to share the information provided in this application with entities associated with the JBG Satara Hill Half Marathon.
I permit the Satara Runners Foundation to use photographs, interviews, bytes and video clips taken during the event for promotional purposes.
I consent to receiving information and offers from event promoters via email.
I understand and agree to abide by the terms and guidelines of the event.

India's Favorite Half Marathon - JBG SATARA HILL HALF MARATHON (JBG SHHM), is an event that is always on the wishlist of every distance running enthusiast.
It holds the Guinness World Record for "Most people on a Single Mountain for a run". Held annually in the historic city of Satara, the erstwhile capital of the Maratha Kingdom founded by legendary Warrior King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

JBG SHHM has been featured in the Runner’s World "Top 50 Must Do Half Marathons" 3 times in a row, attracting running enthusiasts & elite athletes, not only from India but also from across the globe.

Our theme for this year is अहं योद्धाऽस्मि (Aham Yoddha Asmi)
a Sanskrit Phrase, meaning I am a Fighter

It is no secret that our society & nation is now facing a huge increase in obesity & related lifestyle diseases like Hypertension, Diabetes, Stroke etc. This is the cause for a huge national burden in terms of Health and Happiness.

Distance Running symbolises the fight against laziness, lethargy, procrastination. Our theme this year highlights the importance of the ongoing struggle against these vices as well as honours the efforts of those who fight against all odds & emerge victorious in various aspects of their personal, professional and social lives.

Runners run to challenge themselves and to improve their lives, inspiring their loved ones and creating a better future for themselves and their nations.

Let's keep the fighter inside us alive.
