Dudhsagar is a four-tiered waterfall located in the Western Ghats of India. It is one of the most prominent and beautiful waterfalls in the country. The waterfall is situated on the Mandovi River in the state of Goa, near the border with Karnataka. The name "Dudhsagar" comes from the milky appearance of the water as it cascades down the rocky tiers, resembling a stream of milk.
The trail starts from the beautiful rustic 50-acre Dudhsagar Plantation with a natural pool, passes through the beautiful rural side of Goa and the 42 k run ends at the Dudhsagar waterfalls, located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Santuary and Mollem National Park in the Western Ghats. Be prepared for a tough ultra; the longer distances cover an elevation gain of over 1000 m through the lush forests in the Ghats.
